The Aim SmartyCam range of cameras are stand alone cameras that can also be connected to many other Aim products including the MX series, Evo series, Mychron5 and Solo 2 DL. When connected to the Solo 2 DL the SmartyCam can record information in a *.mov file format. The SmartyCam HD has a battery life up to 1.5h and the SmartyCam GP have a 1h battery life. The battery life is always shown on the top of the screen unless it is connected to a 12v source in which can plug symbol is displayed and the battery is charged simultaneously. The camera also have a auto power off function so you don't waste battery power. The SD card encolsure is held in with a metal screw and also has a mircoswitch on the door so when opened the video is closed is less than one second so the SD can can be safely removed. The camera will accept between 4 and 128GB SD cards
