Explosion Suppressant Foam is a reticulated polyurethane foam and is used in fuel tanks where the possibility of fuel tank explosion exists. Also known as ESF, or Safety Foam, the product was invented in the late 1960s when the United States Air Force began using reticulated polyester polyurethane foam to suppress fires and explosions inside fuel tanks.
Explosion Suppressant Foam has now been used for over 30 years and has found thousands of successful applications in aircraft, boats, military vehicles, competition and emergency vehicles.
Yellow or Type 2 foam we stock is commonly used for petrol & E85 Ethanol fuel (E85 should be drained from the tank when the vehicle in not in use)
The foam is stocked in large sheets of cross section 120x28cm we then cut from those sheets in increments of 10cm i.e. should you order qty 2 of 120x28x10cm (33l) you will get a single piece 120x28x20cm (66l), should you order qty 4 of 120x28x10cm you will get a single piece 120x28x40cm (132l) and so on.
We also offer in it in 33l blocks measuring 60x28x20cm should you order multiples of that option you will receive the requested quantity as separate blocks.
