Why Competition Supplies?
Hi Torque starter motors for MGB engined applications where there is a mismatch between the engine back plate and the flywheel. We offer two versions:
Part # LMS 490: This starter engages correctly with a 3 Synchro, 120 tooth ring gear flywheel when combined with a standard 4 synchro type engine back plate.
Part # LMS491: This starter engages correctly with a 4 Synchro, 127 tooth ring gear flywheel when when combined with a standard 3 synchro type engine back plate.
Each unit is based on a brand new denso 1.4kw reduction geared starter and is a direct replacement for the original starter motor whilst weighing around half the original yet offering up to three times the power output.
