Why Competition Supplies?

A range of lightweight (<4kg) reduction geared competition starter motors replacing original inertia type starters on Ford Pinto engines as commonly used in FF2000 and Sports 2000 applications. We offer versions for both the 110 tooth and 135 tooth ring gears. All versions have an indexable nose to allow the motor housing / solenoid to be positioned conveniently and a long nose version for the 110 tooth is available that allows the solenoid to be indexed in line with the starter mounting holes which is necessary in some applications to maximise clearance for the exhaust. Built using brand new high torque reduction gear starter platforms and billet aluminium mounting noses the motor output combined with the reduction gearing ensures consistent and reliable starting of high compression and large capacity engines whilst offering a useful weight saving over the O.E. starter.
