MSD Pro Billet V8 distributors are for use with the MSD 6 series ignition systems. These popular distributors for the ubiquitous Chevy & Ford V8 engines have housings machined from billet aluminium, their .500” steel shafts are supported by sealed bearings and long sintered bushes to ensure high rpm stability, the shaft also receives a friction reducing and corrosion protecting coating. A precision machined reluctor triggers the high output magnetic pickup, providing a highly accurate, wear and maintenance free ignition trigger. The distributors incorporate MSD’s adjustable mechanical advance assembly for which various springs and stop bushings are supplied to allow the advance curve to be tuned to match the application. The small diameter versions save 10mm on diameter and 25mm on length for those with bulkhead or inlet manifold clearance issues.
