Replacement distributor caps to MSD 8 cylinder distributors. MSD moulds these popular V8 distributor caps in-house from DuPont® Rynite material and feature HEI, spark plug-style terminals. These terminals offer improved locking connections and the Rynite material is extremely strong with excellent dielectric properties. Most caps have an optional plug lead retainer included to securely retain the ignition cables on the cap.
We offer two versions, both types in either red or black. The Pro Billet Small diameter suits MSD Distributor part numbers 8545, 8546 and 8570, the standard diameter caps fits our MSD85551 and most popular Chevy, Ford and Chrysler MSD distributors. This cap will also fit original GM points distributors.
If you are upgrading from a socket style cap you will need to change the boots and terminals on your ignition leads. MSD offers a set of nine as part number MSD8849.
