Aerocatch 3 is the latest devolpment from Aerocatch. The Aerocatch 3 offers a high strength tension latch for fastening panels together with the added feature of a shear engagement tounge allowing the latch to carry loads on 3 axis. The Aerocatch 3 comes in 2 versions Plus Flush which is for above body and the Flush which fits completly flush with the bodyline.
The Aerocatch 3 proved how stong it was at the Le Mans 24hr race in 2012 when Anthony Davidson's Toyota TS030-Hybrid LMP1 car lifted off the ground at around 200mph and hit the barrier. The Aerocatch 3 held all of the body panels in place undetr all the loads that were placed on it in that accident.
